Horace Mann's Model United Nations club/team represents the pinnacle of the intellectual community at Horce Mann. Since its inception, the organization has flourished into a synergistic and competitive squad. We annually host the HoMMUNC conference, which boasts a yearly attendance of around 450 delegates from twenty-five schools, at our campus in Riverdale, New York. Also, we regularly travel to conferences up and down the east coast, where we are regularly recognized as a powerhouse.
While we do indeed focus on maintaining a high-quality team, fun is also high on our agenda. We know how to have a good time both on- and off-campus. We won't tell you how. (...as though debating among a group of super-talented peers isn't enough to effect enjoyment...sheesh...)
The tradition of Horace Mann MUN is maintained in a simple progression: the club's leadership, ever-vigilant, works hard to make every member an integral part of the team, preparing them to sprout into next year's leaders. The meat of the organization, however, is always in its members. Horace Mann students are bright enough already; take the brightest thereof and you truly have something grand. Most importantly, we always maintain a sense of collaboration and vision, which intensifies all the more around conference-time.
