By Subway: Take the Broadway 1 train to Van Cortlandt Park and 242 Street (last stop). Exit to Broadway and proceed north to street just before Burger King (Manhattan College Parkway). Make a left and then an immediate right. The Horace Mann campus is at the top of large hill ascending behind Burger King (Post Road leading to 246 Street). One may enter through iron gates following left bend, or continue up hill to corner of 246 Street and Tibbett Avenue, where taking a right will situate one at the main entrance.
By Auto from West Side of Manhattan: Take the West Side Highway north. Pay toll crossing Henry Hudson Bridge. Continue on Henry Hudson Parkway to 246th Street exit. Turn right at light. Continue on 246th Street for approximately five blocks, past (and straight around) a traffic circle. The Horace Mann campus is on the left.
By Auto from Westchester (north): Take the Cross County Parkway to the Saw Mill River Parkway (south). Exit at 246th Street. Turn left at light. Continue on 246th Street for approximately five blocks, past (and straight around) a traffic circle. The Horace Mann campus is on the left.
By Auto from the Major Deegan (north or south): Exit at Manhattan College and Van Cortlandt Park. From either north or south turn right at the end of the ramp and proceed to Broadway and elevated train. Bear right onto Broadway and continue to end of elevated structure. Turn left at light before Burger King (Manhattan College Parkway). Take an immediate right and continue up hill behind Burger King (Post Road). Make left onto 246th Street.
